develoPPP.de: 3rd Call for Proposals

Proposals shall focus on education and training

Under the framework of develoPPP.de - a programme of the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) our 3rd call for proposals 2010 focusses again on „Vocational Education, Training and Qualification“ and addresses companies that invest or intend to set up businesses in developing countries or emerging markets.

Companies interested in participating may submit their proposalsduring the application period from August 15th till September 30th, 2010. Proposals with the best project concept and the most convincing development impact may enjoy co-financing of up to 50% of the total project costs (limited to EUR 193,000) under BMZ's develoPPP.de programme.

Respective calls for proposals will be published four times a year with sequa focusing on VET which is one of our core competencies.

GTZ amongst sequa's shareholders

GTZ acquired 49% of equity

On June 7th, 2010 sequa's general assembly has decided on an increase of capital. Furthermore sequa's Articles of Association have been reviewed. Objects and purpose of the company did not change. Trade Register Bonn has notified the changes on July 8th, 2010. The change of shareholdings came into effect on January 2010, retroactively.

sequa terminates the mobility programme "SESAM"

Lack of EU funds

In June 2010, sequa decided to terminate SESAM - its oldest and most successful mobility programme for post-graduates. Due to the fact that in May 2010 the European Commission's National Agency took its decision not to provide any funds any more to sequa's SESAM programme such consecutive decision was unavoidable.
