„SINDBAD“
European Mobility Programme for Trainees

SINDBAD is a brand-new European mobility programme for trainees. The programme is being conducted by SEQUA and commences operation in September 2008.

Soft skills like mobility, flexibility, tolerance and capacity for teamwork become increasingly important in the labour markets.  SINDBAD targets to supporting the development of these soft skills. SINDBAD targets to gain professional experience on international level.

The internships and company visits will be organized in groups and have a duration of 3 to 12 weeks. Internships within the EU (incl. Liechtenstein, Norway, Iceland and Turkey) enable the participants to get insights of the industrial and business environment in a selected host country, to get to know its culture and of course to improve their foreign language skills.

SEQUA is providing EU funds to the participants whose absolute amounts depend on country and duration of stay.

SINDBAD is being funded by the LEONARDO DA VINCI programme of the European Commission. LEONARDO DA VINCI, itself, is the non-academic mobility programme within the LIFE LONG LEARNING Programme (LLP) of the European Commission. SEQUA’s role is to file the application and to administrate the funds.

Interested trainees shall directly contact the organisations offering the internships.

Organisations that intend file a project proposal to SEQUA must be registered in Germany. Therefore, full information about SINDBAD can be found on our German website in German language.
