The French company Huilerie Emile Noël SAS (HEN), founded in 1966, is one of the leading companies for organic virgin oils and specialist in the cold pressing of oil seeds and oleaginous fruits. In a develoPPP.de project via sequa, which began in December 2016, HEN together with Foret Ressources Management (FRM) intends to build up an organic and fair trade avocado oil value chain in the region of Bas Congo in DRC.

Morocco: Vocational Education and Training Partnership in Fès

The ongoing vocational education and training partnership (BBP) of the German Frankfurt-Rhein-Main Chamber of Skilled Crafts (HWK FRM) with the Fès-Mèknes Chamber of Skilled Crafts and the State Vocational Training Agency OFPPT entered a second phase of three years in August 2016. In this phase, the focus of the project will be lying on woodworking in the Fès-Mèknes region, alongside with the ongoing training of craftsmen in the areas of automotive mechatronics and solar energy.

Ecuador: A stronger practical focus and integration of private sector needs in TVET – The VET Partnership Project in Ecuador enters into a second phase

Since December 2013 the German Deutscher Industrie- und Handelskammertag e. V. (DIHK) cooperates with the Ecuadorian Government, Chambers of Industry and business associations in the frame of a VET Partnership Project. The project supports the current reform of the TVET system in Ecuador with regards to a stronger practical focus and the integration of private sector needs to improve the skills and employability of young people.

Zambia: Demand-driven Vocational Training in the Building Sector

Since mid-November 2016, the German Frankfurt-Rhein-Main Chamber of Skilled Crafts is cooperating with business membership organisations in Zambia. The main partner is the Association of Building and Civil Engineering Contractors (ABCEC). The aim of the partnership is the improvement of the qualification and employability of graduates in several building-related vocational training programmes in Zambia. The partners will put their efforts into establishing demand-driven and practice-oriented elements within the education system.

In December 2016, German Water Partnership (GWP) started a co-operation with the Arab Water Countries Utilities Association (ACWUA) located in Jordan. The partnership project aims at strengthening ACWUA as association of the water sector through exchange and transfer of know-how and information in the Arab region. Main fields or activities will be the development of a sustainable finance concept, provision of services for different member groups, the setup of regional structures as well as the expansion of international cooperation.
