What makes the German VET system unique?

What makes the German VET system unique is that theoretical education at school and practical education are intermeshed and time-shared.

The German chambers and business associations, i.e. our shareholders’ network, play an outstanding and significant role within the German VET system. They are providing expertise, experts and trainers to us which we bundle and offer to our clients:

• 53 regional chambers of skilled crafts and small businesses are responsible for 150 trades. They operate 570 VET centres with 80,000 fully equipped work places for the practical training.
• 80 regional chambers of commerce and industry are empowered to certify 250 occupations. They operate 300 VET centres.
• The chambers monitor the in-company training part, issue examination regulations and certificates, conduct exams, and participate in the development of standards and curricula.
• The member associations of BDA and BDI are also actively engaged in the area of vocational training focussing on specific target groups. 

We execute our VET projects both within the European Union as well as in developing countries, worldwide.
