The German Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) works with eight partner chambers in Southeast Europe to support small and medium sized enterprises (SME) to better utilise the CEFTA free trade agreement. The second phase of this partnership project will end on April, 30, 2016.

Since April 2013 the Swiss Fair Trade pioneer gebana AG, in cooperation with local farming cooperat-ves, has been engaged in a develoPPP.de project intended to improve the quality for and certification methods of dried organic mangoes through investment and training courses in and around the city of Bobo Dioulasso in Burkina Faso.

In this two-year develoPPP.de project started in April 2013 the engineering office AJG Ingenieure GmbH, Germany, is conducting training courses in the field of building security and fire protection for employees of municipal authorities, architects, engineers, firemen and other security personnel.

Dans le cadre du projet « Partenariat tuniso-allemand pour la formation dans la technique orthopédique », les techniciens tunisiens ont commencé en janvier 2013 leurs cycles de formation continue en matière de fabrication de prothèses et orthèses. Le programme de formation, financé par le Ministère fédéral allemand des Affaires Étrangères, combine des unités de travail théorique à distance avec des ateliers pratiques.

Dans des ateliers d’introduction réalisés du 24 au 31 janvier 2013, les experts internationaux ont familiarisé les techniciens tunisiens avec le programme d’études et la plateforme en ligne pour les modules d’enseignement à distance. « J’espère que nous en profiterons au maximum, pour le bien des patients. » a résumé Jalel Ben Amor, l’un des techniciens. Khalil Zaouia, Ministre des Affaires Sociales, et Jens Plötner, Ambassadeur d‘Allemagne en Tunisie, ont également souhaité bonne chance aux 39 techniciens orthopédiques qui ont commencé le programme de formation.

The News report on activities and impacts of three sequa-projects related to vocational training in Tunisia. In the Employment Pact Tunisia, nine vocational training centers of the National Agency for Vocational Training are advised through German partner institutions in various sectors. The Partnerships for Welding Techniques as well as for Orthopedique Techniques support governmental and private actors with know-how from Germany.
