Launched in January 2022, the BIC-Ethiopia project works with selected existing and start-up incubators to support them in developing sustainable and technically sound business models. Regional benchmarking, best practices, standardised curricula, professionalisation of operations and development of new revenue models are part of the first and second year of collaboration.
The team met in March 2022 for an internal kick-off and planning workshop in Addis Ababa to conceptualise activities for 2022 and deepen the shared understanding and commitment of all stakeholders. The event was given special significance by the presence of Mercedes Marin Nortes from the Delegation of the European Union to Ethiopia, who gave the official welcome speech.
