Qualification initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) for refugees in Germany
This programme aims at enabling refugees from crisis countries to complete a vocational apprenticeship in Germany, which they can use after their return to their home country to support the reconstruction. The refugees are integrated in the German dual system of vocational education and act as multipliers. sequa is responsible for the coordination of the programme.
Chambers of industry and commerce, chambers of crafts and trade associations as well as their institutions, which connect refugees with apprenticeship opportunities and accompany them, can apply via sequa for financial support within the qualification initiative.
