TAMEB: German Turkish Partnership for Skills Development / Türk Alman Işbirliğinde MEsleki Beceri Geliştirme Projesi
The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) has granted funds of up to 15 Mio. EUR to sequa for the project TAMEB (“German Turkish Partnership for Skills Development / Türk Alman Işbirliğinde MEsleki Beceri Geliştirme Projesi”).
Target groups are Syrian refugees as well as vulnerable Turkish groups in Turkey. Provisions are made to implement several vocational training measures including Turkish language training and socio-cultural introduction in six Turkish provinces (Mersin, Sanliurfa, Hatay, Kilis, Ankara und Istanbul). sequa has founded a new office in Ankara whose activities are coordinated in the project regions. Project Duration: 01.01.2016 – 30.04.2019.
Implementing partners in Turkey will be institutions like public training centres, vocational training centres, chambers of crafts, chambers of commerce and industry, municipalities, governorships, NGOs. They will receive know-how transfer from German partners like Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Chambers of Crafts and Business Associations for tasks like modification of existing or development of new curricula, development of teaching and learning material, Training of Trainers and modernization of training facilities. Thus, the project will also provide an added value for the Turkish system of Vocational Education and Training.
