The general conditions:
- Each project must be submitted by a consortium consisting of at least one Latin American institution and one EU institution.
- The maximum funding from European funds is 300,000.00 EUR. This financial contribution from the EU amounts to a maximum of 80% of the eligible costs. The remaining amount must be financed with other funds.
- The duration of the project can be between 18 and 27 months.
- Proposals can be submitted in English, Spanish or Portuguese.
- Proposals must fall under one of the following two thematic lots:
- Sustainable and deforestation-free value chains in agri-food industry.
- Transition to low-carbon, resource-efficient and circular business models.
- The deadline for applications is 23/08/2023.

Background:
AL-INVEST Verde is an initiative co-funded by the European Union with the aim of promoting the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises in Latin America. Component 1 of the programme is implemented by sequa, Partner of German business, together with six other institutions from Latin America and the EU.
By introducing sustainable processes and practices, e.g. to reduce the carbon footprint in their processes, to use resources more efficiently and to digitalise, the programme promotes the green transition towards a more circular economy. AL-INVEST Verde provides €25 million for innovative projects that are the result of partnerships between Latin American and European institutions such as chambers and associations and other business development organisations.
