The vocational training partnership (BBP) aims to expand the educational offerings of the Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Industrial (SENAI) in the field of dual higher education with a focus on ‘green innovations’. At the same time, the aim is to strengthen links with industry and improve Brazilian industry's access to green innovations. To build this bridge, Green Innovation Scouts are to be trained in companies and Green Business Scouts in SENAI's innovation and technology centres. In addition, cooperation structures between SENAI, companies and research institutions will be established to support the integration of industry into dual higher education and the implementation of green innovation projects. The project, which is being promoted by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development as part of ‘Partners in Transformation’, will create a basis for a social and ecological transformation of the Brazilian economy.

Brazil: Dual Higher Education in Bioeconomy and Green Innovation
In December 2025, a new vocational training partnership was launched between the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) and Chamber of Crafts (HWK) in Trier and SENAI institutions in Brazil. The BMZ funded project supports the introduction of new dual higher education and continuing education courses in the fields of bioeconomy and green innovation, which offer enormous potential for sustainable economic transformation in Brazil and therefore good employment opportunities for graduates.
