In previous leadership positions — including at Universität Hamburg Marketing GmbH and the Institut für Unternehmenskybernetik e.V. — he successfully managed transformation processes, established international partnerships, and helped sharpen the strategic direction of non-profit organisations.
He has been actively involved in sequa’s management since March 2025. Dr Vossen firmly believes that sustainable development can only be achieved through the joint efforts of politics, business, and civil society.
After 20 years at the helm of sequa, Gebhard Weiss is retiring. Under his leadership, sequa has evolved into a globally active development organisation with around 100 employees and an annual turnover of approximately 55 million euros. As the initiator and architect of numerous projects, Mr Weiss consistently promoted the integration of private sector principles into development cooperation.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Mr Weiss for his outstanding dedication and pioneering achievements.
