Ethiopia: Strengthening the role of the private sector in TVET

The situation of Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Ethiopia suffers from the fact that the private sector is not sufficiently involved in it. In order to better align the system to business demand and improve quality, it is necessary to formalise the involvement of the private sector and thereby give it a stronger role. In cooperation with the Sustainable Training and Education Program (STEP) implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ), sequa is taking on the task of supporting Ethiopian chambers and associations in engaging in a public-private dialogue on TVET in order to discuss relevant topics and building required capacities in these organisations. The project runs from September 15, 2022 to September 15, 2024.
