India: New BMO partnership supports wind energy expansion in India

In December 2025, the German Wind Energy Association (BWE), in cooperation with the Offshore Wind Energy Foundation (SOW), launched a Chamber and Association (BMO) Partnership with the Wind Independent Power Producers’ Association (WIPPA) and the Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers’ Association (IWTMA) in India. Drawing on the expertise of their German partners, the Indian associations seek to further strengthen their advocacy work and raise awareness among both industry professionals and the general public about pertinent issues. A further focus of the project is on intensifying cooperation between German and Indian companies in the wind energy sector. The project is funded within the framework of Partners in Transformation (PiT) by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
