The Tech UpSkill initiative with a consortium of 250 startups, kLab and FabLab identifies and nurtures talents and innovators throughout Rwanda. As part of a PartnerAfrica project, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), young Rwandan talents were sought and prepared for the dynamic technology landscape by providing special trainings, e.g. in database management or app development. A highlight of the Tech UpSkill initiative was a local hackathon in which young Rwandans could showcase their skills. Rwandan companies used the opportunity to discover and hire promising talents. In the film, participants talk about successes and challenges.
