In cooperation with the Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA), the West German Chamber of Crafts (WHKT) has successfully introduced a dual training course for agromechanics in Tanzania, as part of a Vocational Training Partnership Project (BBP) funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). In a video, trainees report on the opportunities on the job market enhanced by this new form of training.

The project started in the Manyara region, where the dual agromechanic course is now an integral part of VETA's training programme. In the second phase of the BBP, other VETA training centres at the sites of Morogoro, Dakawa, Mpanda and Arusha adopted the dual training course as well.
