Since May 2019, the German Travel Association (DRV) has been cooperating with the Tunisian association Fédération Tunisienne des Agences de Voyages et de Tourisme (FTAV), the association of Tunisian travel agencies and tourism agencies. Since November 2022, the Business Membership Organisation Partnership funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development has been in its second project phase.
The aim is to support FTAV in promoting advocacy for sustainable tourism in Tunisia. The Tunisian association is also to support local tourism enterprises in the development and marketing of innovative tourism offers and thus strengthen the tourism economy at the regional level. Other local tourism associations are to be included in the project activities on a selective basis in order to increase the effectiveness of the measures.
