Uzbekistan: Development of tourism and hospitality industry

In January 2023, the Bildungswerk der sächsischen Wirtschaft started its cooperation with the Uzbek Association of Hoteliers. The aim of the project with a duration of 12 months is to support the Uzbek project partner "Association of Hoteliers of Uzbekistan" in the establishment of an educational academy for tourism. The kick-off event of the project met with a great response. It was officially opened by the German Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Dr. Tilo Klinner, and the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism, Ulugbek Azamov. Both Dr. Klinner and Mr. Azamov underlined the necessity of increasing the quality of vocational training and securing skilled labor in Uzbekistan, especially in the field of tourism, and welcomed the cooperation between the Bildungswerk der sächsischen Wirtschaft and the Uzbek hospitality industry association. The small-scale measure is financed by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
