In December 2025 the second phase of the Chamber and Association Partnership (KVP) started between the bsw Bildungswerk der Sächsischen Wirtschaft gGmbH and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan (CCIU) . Building on the results of the first project phase, the project aims to further strengthen the CCIU organisationally and technically and to sustainably expand its role as a reliable partner for companies, particularly in the field of vocational education and training. A key focus of the project is the strategic positioning of the CCIU within Uzbekistan’s vocational education and training system. To this end, the Chamber is developing a concept that clearly defines its role, responsibilities and objectives, along with concrete implementation measures. Based on this framework, the CCIU’s activities in vocational education and training will be systematically further developed and firmly embedded in the long term. Another important component of the project is the strengthening of career guidance at the regional level. Through targeted measures, young people will be sensitised at an early stage to vocational career pathways, while companies will be more closely involved in this process. In addition, a quality label for training companies will be developed. The label “Good Training Company” will recognise enterprises that demonstrate a strong commitment to vocational training and actively contribute to skills development.
With this approach, the project makes an important contribution to strengthening the private sector, improving skills development and advancing a labour market-oriented vocational education and training system in Uzbekistan. The KVP is carried out within the framework of Partners in Transformation, funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
