The DIHK has a long-standing and trusting partnership with the chambers of the Western Balkans, which is characterised by successful and constructive cooperation between all parties involved. Building on this trust, the new joint project aims to establish the CIF as a central regional platform for economic policy strategy dialogue in the Western Balkans and, at the same time, to strengthen it as a developer of regional services for the member chambers.
To this end, the organisation and working methods of the CIF will be further developed in a targeted manner and adapted to existing needs. The plan is to set up permanent working groups composed of experts from the WB6 chambers to address key regional issues such as the Green Agenda, access to finance, regional trade and economic analysis. In this way, the CIF will be able to represent the common economic policy interests of the WB6 chambers and their member companies even more effectively in future, incorporate relevant EU regulations at an early stage and act as a united economic policy voice for the Western Balkans. The Business Membership Organisation Partnership (KVP) is financed by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) as part of Partners in Transformation.
