Labour Market-Oriented Vocational Education Kenya
The project strengthens labour market-oriented, practice-based vocational education and training in selected skilled trades in Kenya. In cooperation with the partner institutions Don Bosco Boys Town (DBBT) and Buildher, training programmes are modernised, curricula aligned with labour market needs, and cooperation with private sector companies enhanced. A strong focus is placed on the qualification of trainers, the integration of digital learning tools, and the development of economically sustainable production units within the training centres. In addition, trainees receive training in entrepreneurial skills, soft skills and start-up competencies. Women are specifically targeted to improve their access to skilled trades and to reduce structural barriers. The project aims to enhance the employability of graduates and support their transition into decent employment or self-employment in a sustainable and market-oriented environment.
