Vocational Training Partnership bbw Tunisia

The project offers partial qualifications in areas of high demand, particularly to young people with intermediate or no school qualifications, in order to help reduce the shortage of skilled workers. The construction sector is ideal for short-term qualifications because it offers comparatively high employment potential and, at the same time, low-threshold access to self-employment. The vocational qualifications are enhanced by additional services such as career guidance, socio-psychological support and soft skills training to ensure successful integration into working life. Sustainability is integrated into the partial qualifications as a cross-cutting theme, for example ‘resource-efficient construction’ and ‘waste management in the workplace’. An innovative element of the project is the close partnership between the Tunisian Employment Agency, vocational training centres and private companies.
