Tourism and Nuts from Armenia
The Private Sector Development and Technical Vocational Education and Training in Armenia (PSD TVET AM) Project adopts an integrated approach towards employment promotion. The commissioned tasks explicitly aims at strengthening the export capacities of selected Armenian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the tourism and natural ingredients sector, with a focus on the sub-sector nuts. In the frame of this project, sequa will deliver a tailored market entry support to enhance the visibility and competitiveness of Armenian business on the European Market through capacity building activities, participation in international trade fairs and direct B2B matchmaking services. To guarantee the success of this project, sequa will start a market analysis and with a needs-driven selection process that builds on verified sectoral readiness for export.

Project Target
sequa’s activities will contribute to achieving the objectives and indicators of the GIZ project, notably the module objective of realizing potentials of the transformation towards a modern economy in Armenia. The activities will pay into the module objective indicator 3, especially performance improvements in increased turnover, new customers, new business relationships and integration into supply chains. A focus will be led on women led enterprises. By having a focus on women led enterprises and integrating the enterprises in international business relationships, a future oriented economy is targeted. In both sectors, Natural ingredients (nuts) and Tourism, sequa will have a focus on sustainable businesses, meaning sustainable tourism and organic nuts.
