TVET Partnership in Serbia

The project is a vocational training partnership between Bildungswerk der Bayerischen Wirtschaft (bbw) gGmbH and Serbian vocational schools and chambers of industry and commerce in Novi Sad, Zrenjanin and Sremska Mitrovica. Building on the successes of the first phase (2023–2025), the second phase (01/2026–12/2028) aims to further improve the quality and practical orientation of dual initial vocational training in the metal and electrical sectors and to align it more closely with the needs of the Serbian economy. The focus is on enabling vocational schools to independently implement modern dual training programmes, systematically involving companies and promoting structured dialogue between schools, chambers and industry. The quality of training will be sustainably enhanced through qualification measures for teachers and trainers, the development of teaching materials, quality standards and new training profiles. There is a particular focus on promoting women in technical professions through gender-sensitive career guidance and targeted support measures. At the same time, the public image of dual vocational training is being improved through public relations work and dialogue formats. By the end of the project, at least 60% of graduates should receive a job offer, the proportion of female trainees should increase, and at least 20 additional companies should be involved in dual training.
