Tackling the reasons of migration within our partner countries as well as successfully integrating refugees in Germany – the focus is first and foremost on jobs.A paid job opens up sustainable life perspectives to people, however, most jobs require vocational training or at least vocational qualification.
The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the German chambers and business associations responded quickly to the refugee situation in Germany:
The BMZ provided funds in early summer 2015 at short-notice and non-bureaucratically; the chambers and business associations in cooperation with sequa started immediately to identify individualised solutions.
The chambers and their member companies aim at offering regular vocational training to as many refugees as possible. At first and in each case, the adequate target profession has to be identified in most cases so that the occupation selected matches the skills and preferences of the individual. After all, the right choice of the occupation is one of the most important decisions in life.
The chambers, as well as all other parties involved of this complex process – ultimately the people in those organisations, demonstrate their willingness to tackle this huge challenge and make it work. By investing competence, personal commitment and pragmatism. The German chambers and business associations: truly a great network.
