sequaForum 2018 A02: Latin America - Al-Invest

Editorial

Latin America is not only geographically far away from Europe. The southern and central parts of the American continent are also not within the focus when it comes to current key issues: flight and migration.

However, sequa implements no fewer than 17 projects in Latin America. That accounts for eleven percent of our today’s portfolio that comprises 150 projects. Within the scope of our chambers and business associations partnerships as well as our co-operations in the field of vocational education and training, we realise every thenth project in Central and South America – in Brasil, Ecuador, Columbia, Mexico and Peru.

The European private sector has an even huger interest in Latin America: within our part of the develoPPP.de-programme, we implement every fifth project in a Latin American country – in Brasil, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru.

The import business pays more and more attention to the subcontinent on the other side of the Atlantic, too. Within the scope of our undertaking »Import Promotion Desk«, we work on expanding the trade relations between Peru and Columbia with Europe.

Nevertheless, the largest project of our American projects is AL-Invest 5.0, to which we have been contributing for a long time and with great commitment. That project shines with remarkable numbers: 18 countries, 110 chambers and associations, 27,000 involved companies. This edition of sequaForum gives an insight to it.
