Under the motto "From Innovation to Transformation", the Green Innovation Centres and implementing partners from 16 countries met for three days in Berlin. The conference focused on the question of how the innovations achieved can be scaled up and made usable and can lead to transformation in agricultural and food systems. A second focus was on learning from each other across national borders and on transregional project cooperation.
sequa had the unique opportunity to present a supra-regional project on trade promotion implemented for the Green Innovation Centres and to present approaches, successes, lessons learned and highlights. In addition to sequa's project, projects of the Africa Rice Centre in Côte d'Ivoire, a triangular pilot project between India, Malawi and Germany and the contribution of the FAO Investment Centre were presented in the same session.
The event of the Green Innovation Centres was followed by the BMZ conference "Partners for Change - Transformation to a food secure, resilient and sustainable future", where policy recommendations on various topics of international agriculture were formulated and handed over to the State Secretary Mr. Jochen Flasbarth.
