Since 2019 sequa has been implementing the PartnerAfrica-Programme in the framework of the Special Initiative for Training and Job Creation of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
To consider the political priorities of the ministry and the current global challenges, the initiative has now been renamed to Special Initiative “Decent Jobs for a Just Transition”. The final objective of the initiative – the creation of decent jobs and the improvement of working conditions together with private sector – continues to be highly relevant and is a central concern of the BMZ and its partner countries. The creation of jobs will now focus on better jobs for women and jobs in green sectors. PartnerAfrica-projects are expected to contribute to this focus.
