As part of the Hamburg Sustainability Conference, ten organisations from the fields of foreign trade promotion and development cooperation have joined forces to form Team Deutschland. In a joint Mission Statement, they underline their ambition to link their respective strengths even more closely in the future and to make effective contributions to sustainable economic development together.
The cooperation focuses on four shared objectives: promoting economic development in partner countries while supporting business opportunities for companies, improving framework conditions and capacities for sustainable economic growth, mobilising public and private capital, and acting reliably and action-oriented towards companies and partners.
Dr. René Vossen, Managing Director of sequa gGmbH, signed the joint agreement on behalf of sequa.
“In our projects and programmes, we take development policy and foreign trade promotion aspects into account every day. Development in our partner countries and the internationalisation of the German economy are closely linked in our work. With Team Deutschland — together with long-standing and new partners — we want to harness synergies and set new priorities,” said Dr. René Vossen.
sequa contributes its many years of experience at the interface between development cooperation and foreign trade promotion to Team Deutschland — particularly in cooperation with chambers, associations and companies, as well as in the areas of chamber and association partnerships, vocational education and training, and trade promotion.
In addition to sequa gGmbH, Team Deutschland comprises: DIHK, Euler Hermes AG/Federal Government Export Credit Guarantees and Untied Loan Guarantees, Germany Trade & Invest, PwC/Federal Investment Guarantees, DEG, DEG Impulse, Deutsche Sparkassenstiftung für internationale Kooperation e.V., Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH, and KfW.
sequa looks forward to working together within Team Deutschland and to setting new impulses for sustainable economic development and international cooperation together with its partners.
