Vocational Training in Mexico

The German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) supports the local project partners Consejo Coordinador Empresarial (CCE), Confederación Patronal de la República Mexicana (COPARMEX) as well as Consejo Nacional de Normalización y Certificación (CONOCER) within the framework of the second project phase in strengthening and institutionalising the ecosystem of dual vocational training at upper secondary level in Mexico. The plan is to anchor dual vocational education and training institutionally at the project partners, to strengthen quality through certifications of training personnel, among other things, and to promote equal opportunities in the ecosystem.

Association partnership in the biogas sector

The Ukrainian Bioenergy Association is to be strengthened by the project. The association is already quite well positioned in the area of lobbying and is a generally well-known and respected trade association. However, its strategic orientation can be improved. There is also room for improvement with regard to the number of members and their active membership, the level of income and the number of employees. Here, the partnership with the Fachverband Biogas e.V. should provide impetus. The Ukrainian association would also like to gain expertise on the subject of biogas.

Vocational Education in the Ukraine / Skills4Recov

As part of the giz-Skills4Recovery programme, sequa supports up to 30 Ukrainian educational institutions from the Poltava, Dnepr, Kiev and Lviv regions in the development and implementation of 3-month retraining courses. The short-term-courses are based on the current needs of the labour market. Each course is coordinated in close cooperation with the methodological centres of the respective regions and the employment agencies. The following qualification courses are currently on offer: Electric welders, gas welders, tractor drivers, electric fitters, tailors and seamstresses, forklift truck drivers and vehicle drivers. The number of participants totals around 350.

Organic farming in Vietnam

The 2nd phase of the Business Membership Organisation Partnership between Naturland e.V. and the Vietnam Organic Agricultural Association (VOAA) builds on the results of the 1st phase. Through the project, an increase in paying members is targeted to strengthen VOAA's financial base and expand demand-driven services. The assocations's reach will be increased by establishing a presence in the southern part of the country.

VTP HWK Koblenz Eastern Africa

The Koblenz Chamber of Skilled Crafts is carrying out the second phase of a vocational training partnership. It has three partner countries: Uganda and Burundi in addition to Rwanda, where the Chamber of Skilled Crafts has already been implementing VET partnerships for many years. The aim of the multi-partner structure is to harmonize vocational training on a pilot basis and to transfer structures and innovations that have proven successful in one country to the other countries on a pilot basis. The project deals with the solar, welding, tailoring and food processing trades.

Economy of Love (EoL)

The "Economy of Love" (EoL) project between the Bayrisches Bildungswerk (bbw) and the Egyptian Bio-dynamic Association (EBDA) is aiming for a sharp increase in EoL-certified farms in Egypt. This holistic certification for sustainable agriculture, developed in 2021 in the "Organic Egypt" project, sets a variety of ecological and social standards adapted to the local market. Farmers receive an additional incentive when converting from conventional to organic farming through the sale of CO2 certificates via EBDA from the emissions saved.
