Green Economy Serbia
sequa's ‘Green Economy in Serbia’ project aims to support Serbian chambers, associations and SMEs in the green transformation. Work package 1 focuses on the integration of green approaches into regulatory and political frameworks. This includes advising the Serbian BMO, strengthening the chamber and association systems, promoting public dialogue and implementing national strategies. The aim is to place green issues in cross-departmental processes and develop a monitoring system to assess the impact of strategies on the private sector. Work package 2 comprises the adaptation of the services offered by Serbian chambers and associations. This includes the further training of advisors on environmental and resource protection, the development of a data platform on environmental impacts and peer learning events. Strategies and capacities of the PKS (‘Green Team’) are strengthened for sustainable services and awareness-raising campaigns. Work package 3 focusses on supporting SMEs in key sectors (sustainable agriculture, automotive, tourism). The aim is to introduce sustainable measures to reduce emissions and adapt to climate change. Consultancy on EU regulations and international marketing complete the package. The project utilises the expertise of the German chamber and association system to promote the competitiveness of the Serbian economy.
