Training of Vocational Trainers in Zanzibar

The objective of the project is to improve the quality and practical orientation of Vocational Training in Zanzibar. The project will continue to support of the Vocational Training Authority (VTA) in setting up and running a Center of Competence for the qualification of vocational trainers and teachers which was already started in the first phase of the project. In addition, the project will work on piloting a vocational training course with practical elements. Possible sectors for the course are Household Electrics and the Hotel sector with a focus on Chef. Both occupations are relevant for the tourism sector which plays an important role in the Zanzibari economy.
