On 1 December 2021, the new chamber and association partnership project of the Bildungswerk der Wirtschaft Mecklenburg-Vorpommern with employers' and industry associations from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan started. The project runs for three years and aims to develop and strengthen social dialogue in Central Asia. Social dialogue is important for promoting sustainable enterprises, diversifying the economy, improving working conditions and protecting workers' rights. In order to consolidate this, the stakeholders involved (government representatives, employers' organisations and trade unions) from the partner countries are professionalised for their role and tasks in social dialogue. Business organisations in particular need to increase the efficiency of their organisations by building additional skills among their staff, strengthening contacts with their existing and potential members, and visibly representing their goals and concerns to the public. The KVP is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
