The first project lasted 10 months, from the beginning of March to the end of December 2023, with a budget of just under 330,000 euros. sequa supported a total of 21 private companies that were (not yet) ready to export and the two service providers Jordan Exports (JE) and Business and Professional Women-Amman (BPWA). In addition to various training measures, including a study trip for nine companies to Germany and the Netherlands, twelve companies were supported in their participation in the Anuga trade fair in Cologne or Fruit Attraction in Madrid. To this end, sequa organized three expert trips to Jordan and three trips by Jordanian companies to Europe. Various online training courses and meetings accompanied the face-to-face events, e.g. in the area of organic certification.
The new project will run from March 2024 to June 2025 and aims to enhance the export capacities of Jordan's fresh fruit and vegetables, natural ingredients and IT outsourcing sectors. The target groups are selected Jordanian companies with export potential from the above mentioned sectors. Project activities include preparation and matchmaking of Jordanian companies at SIAL Paris and a buying mission of European fresh fruits and vegetables importers to Jordan.
