KH Steinfurt Warendorf has been involved in development cooperation through sequa for quite some time. The activities in Africa mentioned in the video message began in 2015, when the district crafts association started a vocational training partnership with the uMfolozi TVET College in South Africa. This is currently in the second project phase.

The aim of the project is to improve employment opportunities for graduates of Umfolozi TVET College. In 2019, KH launched another vocational training partnership in Mozambique. It supports the Instituto Industrial de Maputo (IIM) and the Mozambican Association for Renewable Energy (AMER) in opening up employment prospects for disadvantaged population groups through high-quality, practice-oriented vocational training, thereby reducing their risk of poverty and improving the competitiveness of companies.
