Employment Promotion Project (EPP4), Egypt

The aim is to familiarize various stakeholders with the topic and relevant methodologies to integrate green competences into the technical education system in Egypt. For a long-lasting and sustainable knowledge transfer, different peer learning methodologies such as workshops, seminars, webinars, on-site visits, exchange formats, etc. shall be applied. The primary focus of this knowledge transfer will be on an international scale, with an emphasis on engaging German knowledge bearers – especially the from private sector, associations/chambers – who possess experience in the aforementioned areas and have a proven track record of greening curricula. This contract for a knowledge exchange and learning format shall be designed to span two years catering to a minimum of 30 and up to 40 participants from Egyptian and German institutions. The central theme of this knowledge exchange pertains to the green economy and green competences within technical education. The practitioners in the planned knowledge exchange and learning format shall represent diverse key institutions (different chambers and associations as well as vocational training centres of employers‘ organisations) and economic sectors of a wide range, both in Germany and in Egypt. This approach ensures, that the exchange will have a broader impact in Egypt and that principles on integrating green skills into technical education programmes are more like to be transferable to different economic sectors.
