Promotion of the Horticultural Sector in Ethiopia

The Bildungswerk der Bayerischen Wirtschaft (bbw) gGmbH cooperates with the Ethiopian Horticulture Producer Exporters Association (EHPEA) within the framework of a chamber and association partnership (KVP). The partnership project is intended to contribute to farm enterprises, their suppliers and workers in the horticulture sector in Ethiopia, and their surrounding communities benefiting more substantially from improved international trade relations. The project builds on the activities of the Import Promotion Desk (IPD), which has been cooperating with EHPEA since 2015 in expanding the trade relations of its members with the European market and has identified a need for a more comprehensive consulting approach. The second three-year project phase is more strongly oriented towards the sustainability of the association and its performance capacity. The topic of digitisation will also be a focus of attention, both in terms of internal processes and services.
