"Sat Yone Superstar", is an infotainment app that has been developed in the last 10 months within the framework of the regional GIZ project Social and Labor Standards in the textile and clothing industry in Asia together with sequa gGmbH and the EU-funded SMART Myanmar. The app is a game in which topics such as labor law, occupational health and safety are playfully conveyed to the seamstresses.

The players pass through various areas of a garment factory (such as the chemical store) and have to answer questions and solve tasks. The aim is to give a large number of low-educated female workers easy access to easily prepared information and thereby further increase the dissemination of the app Shwe Job - a knowledge app on employment law and protection.

It is difficult for a company to cope with a wide-ranging qualification programme on its own. ForestFinance therefore decided on a development partnership with sequa gGmbH: As partners for educational measures, they trained over 300 forest workers and persons from local forest authorities in Vietnam.

The practical training has not only led to a higher awareness of sustainable environmental protection in forest management but has also raised standards in occupational safety.

In November 2017, the second phase of the vocational training partnership of German Coblenz Chamber of Crafts and Small Industries started in Rwanda. It ends in October 2020. Rwandan partners are Workforce Development Authority (WDA), Association of Entrepreneurs du Bâtiment et Travaux Publics (AEBTP) as well as Integrated Polytechnic Regional Center (IPRC) East and St. Joseph Integrated Technical College (SJITC).

The project aims at introducing the dual approach in initial trainings for selected occupations in the construction sector. In the second project phase, the pilot courses from phase 1 (painting, tile setting, bricklaying, road construction) will continue and further trainings will be adapted to the dual approach. Selected private sector organisations receive support to get more involved in the planning and implementation of dual education. The company network of the partner schools will be expanded to improve the placement of students in practical phases and in work.
