The World Circular Economy Forum is a global initiative of Finland and the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra. It presents the world's leading solutions for the circular economy. Business leaders, policy makers and experts from around the world participate. The World Circular Economy Forum 2021 (WCEF2021) will take place from 13 to 15 September 2021 in a virtual format and will be co-hosted this year by the Government of Canada and Sitra.
On 15 September 2021, the European Union, Canada Plastic Pact and the Circular Economy Coalition will host a two-hour WCEF21 Accelerator Session on plastics starting at 9:45 EST and ending at 11:45 EST (GMT/UTC-4). This two-hour virtual event will feature discussions among global leaders in the field. The sessions will present solutions for the entire plastics supply chain, for different sectors and markets. The aim is to share knowledge, best practices and technologies and to identify transboundary issues that require further research or action.
sequa, together with its partner EPRD from Poland, is supporting the design and set-up of the event as part of their joint project "Reducing plastic waste in Canada - Ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns". The project is funded by the European Union under the Foreign Policy Instruments (FPI), coordinated by the EU Delegation in Canada and implemented by the EPRD consortium under the FPI - PSF 2019 Lot 2 "Technical Assistance" contract.
Registration is open worldwide and limited to 125 participants to ensure maximum interactivity. For more information and to register, please visit: https://www.wcef2021.com/session/plastics-without-borders-a-workshop-exploring-global-supply-chain-issues-and-leading-circular-solutions
